Connect Vonage

You need API key and API secret. About two minutes.

1Get these from Vonage

API key

From the Vonage dashboard
  1. Sign in to the Vonage API Dashboard and open Settings from the menu under your username.
  2. In API settings, copy the API key.

Not a secret on its own, but it names the account.

Paste the API secret
  1. On the same Settings page, find the API secret under API settings.
  2. A secret is shown only when created: if you no longer have it, create a new secret and copy it.

Sent alongside the key. Reading the balance is free.

2Add it to CreditBar

  1. Open CreditBar from the menu bar and choose Settings, then Accounts.
  2. Click Add account and pick Vonage.
  3. Paste the API key and the API secret into the matching fields, and give the account a label you will recognise.
  4. Click Test connection, then Add. Numbers appear in the menu bar within a minute.

Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain and only ever sent to Vonage. Nothing passes through a CreditBar server.
