Connect DigitalOcean

You need Personal access token. About two minutes.

1Get your Personal access token

  1. Open API in the Control Panel menu, then the Tokens tab.
  2. Under Personal access tokens, click Generate New Token.
  3. Name it, pick an expiration and choose Read Only scope.
  4. Copy the token now: it is shown only once.

A read scope is enough. Reading the balance is free.

2Add it to CreditBar

  1. Open CreditBar from the menu bar and choose Settings, then Accounts.
  2. Click Add account and pick DigitalOcean.
  3. Paste the Personal access token into the matching field, and give the account a label you will recognise.
  4. Click Test connection, then Add. Numbers appear in the menu bar within a minute.

Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain and only ever sent to DigitalOcean. Nothing passes through a CreditBar server.

Month-to-date usage lags real time by up to an hour, as DigitalOcean's own billing does.
