Connect ClickHouse Cloud

You need Key ID and Key secret. About two minutes.

1Get these from ClickHouse Cloud

Key ID

Paste the key ID
  1. In the ClickHouse Cloud console, open API Keys in the left menu.
  2. Click New API Key, name it and set an expiration.
  3. Assign a read-only organization role that can view billing.
  4. Click Generate API Key and copy the Key ID.

Key secret

Paste the key secret
  1. Copy the Key Secret from the same confirmation screen as the Key ID.
  2. Store it now: it is not shown again.

Shown once when the key is created. Sent as HTTP Basic with the key ID.

2Add it to CreditBar

  1. Open CreditBar from the menu bar and choose Settings, then Accounts.
  2. Click Add account and pick ClickHouse Cloud.
  3. Paste the Key ID and the Key secret into the matching fields, and give the account a label you will recognise.
  4. Click Test connection, then Add. Numbers appear in the menu bar within a minute.

Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain and only ever sent to ClickHouse Cloud. Nothing passes through a CreditBar server.

ClickHouse Credits, not dollars: a CHC converts at the rate in your contract. The API caps a query at 31 days, so a longer window is clamped to that.
