Connect Shopify

You need Admin API access token and Shop domain. About two minutes.

1Get these from Shopify

Admin API access token

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings, Apps and sales channels, then Develop apps.
  2. Open your custom app, or create one, then choose Configure Admin API scopes.
  3. Tick read_analytics and read_orders, then save.
  4. Click Install app, then in API credentials reveal and copy the Admin API access token.

In your Shopify admin, not the partner or dev dashboard: 1. Settings, Apps and sales channels, Develop apps 2. Create an app, then Configure Admin API scopes 3. Tick read_analytics and read_orders. read_analytics is the one people miss, and without it the sales query is refused 4. Install app, then API credentials, Admin API access token, Reveal The token starts with shpat_. The API key and secret key on that same page are different values and will be refused.

Shop domain

acme.myshopify.com
  1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings, then Domains.
  2. Copy the domain that ends in .myshopify.com.

The myshopify.com address, not your custom domain.

2Add it to CreditBar

  1. Open CreditBar from the menu bar and choose Settings, then Accounts.
  2. Click Add account and pick Shopify.
  3. Paste the Admin API access token and the Shop domain into the matching fields, and give the account a label you will recognise.
  4. Click Test connection, then Add. Numbers appear in the menu bar within a minute.

Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain and only ever sent to Shopify. Nothing passes through a CreditBar server.

Reports
orders, gross, discounts, returns, net, shipping, taxes and total sales over the chosen window, via ShopifyQL. Your own shop's address replaces the host

Reported in the shop's own currency, and totalled with other accounts in that same currency. Nothing is converted. The token needs the read_analytics scope.
