Connect CurrencyAPI
You need API key. About two minutes.
1Get your API key
API key
Paste the CurrencyAPI key- Sign in to the currencyapi dashboard.
- Copy your API key, or create a new one.
The status endpoint is free and does not consume a request.
Open the pagehttps://app.currencyapi.com/api-keys
2Add it to CreditBar
- Open CreditBar from the menu bar and choose Settings, then Accounts.
- Click Add account and pick CurrencyAPI.
- Paste the API key into the matching field, and give the account a label you will recognise.
- Click Test connection, then Add. Numbers appear in the menu bar within a minute.
Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain and only ever sent to CurrencyAPI. Nothing passes through a CreditBar server.

- Reports
- requests used and remaining for the month, plus any grace allowance
- Calls
- https://api.currencyapi.com/v3/status
- Refreshes
- At most every 5 minutes

Grace requests are a separate pool and only start draining once the month is spent.
